‘Bridgerton’ star Ruby Barker hospitalized due to mental struggles
Ruby Barkerone of the stars of the massive Netflix hit “Bridgerton,” has opened up about her mental struggles that have brought her to the hospital.
Ruby posted a video Thursday revealing her struggle, saying, “It’s time to be transparent.”

The 25-year-old did not hold back … “I’ve been really bad for a really long time. I want to be honest with everyone. I’ve struggled.”
Ruby was not specific about where she was being treated, saying, “I’m in the hospital at the moment and I’ll be discharged soon and hopefully get on with my life.”
Her message came during Mental Health Awareness Week in the UK, so the timing is not random … “I want to take a little break for myself and I will encourage others, if you are having a hard time, do yourself a favor and take one pause. Do not be so harsh with yourself. “
Ruby explained what symptoms had manifested, made her aware that she needed help, and said she was “rage-filled” with “intergenerational trauma tied up in me.”
