Ruby was not specific about where she was being treated, saying, “I’m in the hospital at the moment and I’ll be discharged soon and hopefully get on with my life.”
Her message came during Mental Health Awareness Week in the UK, so the timing is not random … “I want to take a little break for myself and I will encourage others, if you are having a hard time, do yourself a favor and take one pause. Do not be so harsh with yourself. “
Ruby explained what symptoms had manifested, made her aware that she needed help, and said she was “rage-filled” with “intergenerational trauma tied up in me.”
She continued … “I carried the weight of the world on my back and now I’m at the point where I can get a diagnosis … I can not continue as I was. I have to change. So it “That’s what I’m trying to do. I want to survive, and I want to survive. I want to.”
Her message will undeniably help others who are in similar circumstances … suffering in silence.
