Updating: YouTube is back online after going offline for over an hour on Wednesday nights during prime time viewing hours in the US. We’ve updated our news post to reflect that YouTube is back up and running.
YouTube was offline for more than an hour on Wednesday, making the videos inaccessible. You could access the YouTube website, but all the videos seemed blocked with an error message: ‘An error has occurred. Try again later. ‘
It didn’t come for an hour later. At 7:23 p.m. ET, more than an hour ago, TeamYouTube’s official Twitter account confirmed the bad news for YouTube views, but suggested Alphabet’s video streaming platform is working on a fix. At 8:38 p.m. ET, YouTube was back online.
