Watch Elizabeth Olsen take the Vanity Fairs Lie Detector test

Elizabeth Olsen recently sat down with Vanity Fair for a polygraph test, and she started strong by lying inside for 30 seconds. “Do you lie quite often?” asked the interviewer. “No, I’m not lying,” Olsen replied seriously. But a jerk from the equipment and a resounding “lie” from the polygraph examiner set the stage for a funny and otherwise honest conversation with the “WandaVision” star.

Despite the stony start, Olsen remained fairly honest throughout the rest of the video, sharing information about the Avengers group chat (and why she’s not in it anymore), her positive experience of deleting social media, and her desire to be a stones. “I want to be stones, I am a hopeful stones,” she said. “It’s something I’m not very good at. I’m just starting to try it again for the first time in a decade.”

Olsen also opened up about her friendship with Chris Evans and his step dance on the set – though she could not say for sure if he was her favorite Chris of all time. And of course, no polygraph would be complete without mention of her “weird thumbs”, which seemed to shock even the polygraph examiner. But no matter how absurd a question was, Olsen responded with a kind of conversational humor that felt relatable and genuine, and even admitted that she still says her sisters’ iconic line, “You got it, dude,” in her everyday life.
