Unreal Engine 5:10 amazing demos showing the future of video game graphics

Now that Gomm has given the audience a taste Skyrim in Unreal 5 we want more. Here is hope The Elder Scrolls VI will end up looking fairly close to this artist’s vision.

Coalitions – “The Cavern”

While Epic Games is no longer responsible for Gears of War franchise, each serial entry is still built with Unreal Engine. The current developers of the series, The Coalition, recently released a tech demo that one dreams of Gear 6.

The Cavern is a cinematic test roll that shows how many triangles developers can cram into Unreal Engine 5 graphics assets. While the characters and placements in the video are not signs of a title in development, the video’s lighting, high-fidelity models, and ray tracing certainly are. Plus, all of these assets come together to create a clip that surpasses most big movie CGI.

If future coalition projects even look half as good as The Cavern, Gear 6 perhaps just the most beautiful video game ever.

NEXTGEN Terrain Physics

Unreal Engine is a powerful tool in itself, but developers can also create plug-ins to either enhance the tool or add new features. One of the best ways to showcase a custom add-on option is via video demonstration.

The Brushify.io toolkit has been hailed as a leading world-building system for Unreal, and to show off its latest iteration, creator Joe Garth posted a video demonstrating the tool in Unreal 5. The toolkit, called NEXTGEN Terrain Physics, creates a surprisingly realistic landscape . that can be deformed in real time without losing framerates, all with realistic physics.
