Trinidadian Girl steals police automotive to kidnap child


Police have detained a 24-year-old girl, after she reportedly stole a police car from a police station in Cunupia in Central Trinidad to kidnap a toddler in Arima, on Monday.

The police mentioned the lady, who stays in custody, is thought to the mother and father of the kid. They mentioned she had been left briefly with the kid when the mother and father left the home, however on their return their daughter was lacking.

Neighbors knowledgeable the mother and father that the lady had taken the kid and the police have been notified.

Police mentioned officers from the North Central Division Job Power West have been on patrol on Monday evening and noticed a police automotive being pushed alongside the Jap Fundamental Highway, Tacarigua.

They tried to cease the automotive, however it sped off and was later intercepted and the kid rescued. The kid was taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Advanced Pediatric Division for medical examination.

Investigators mentioned the police automotive was stolen from the Cunupia police station and the lady stays in custody. She is more likely to be charged with kidnapping and theft.
