1091 Pictures has released a trailer for its upcoming psychological/psychedelic thriller film To the moonwhich comes from from actor and filmmaker Scott friend. Friend makes his directorial debut. and the story follows a struggling addict and TV actor named Dennis, who retreats to his remote family home with his wife Mia in a last-ditch effort to rehab and save their marriage.
The film follows Dennis and Mia, “a young couple who find their weekend getaway turned into a hallucinatory nightmare when Dennis’ estranged brother Roger arrives and begins to distort their sense of reality. A dysfunctional family study in the form of a psychological, psychedelic thriller that unfolds under the weight of addiction and taking its three leads to darkly funny lows, the film takes the trope of the uninvited house guest and turns it into a metaphor for the fallout of trauma on the relationship of a young couple.”
The cast includes Scott friend, Madeleine Morgenweckand Will Brill and it will be released later this year. It looks like it will be a strange and sad movie. Watch the trailer!
