BT Sports expert Owen Hargreaves has been praised for the new signing of Manchester United
“Fernandes is on fire, he created five chances in that first half,” said Hargreaves.
He continued his recent form in the first leg. In eight games for United prior to Thursday’s game, he had scored three and given three assists.
“Like de Bruyne, he plays at his own pace, he never rushes, finds space in space,” Hargreaves continued. “He just knows when to do things.”
Fellow expert Paul Ince said Fernandes “seems to be United’s midfielder,” before Hargreaves added “he gave everyone at the club a lift.”

Manchester United’s game against LASK was played behind closed doors due to the threat of the corona virus.
It created a strange, calm atmosphere in the stadium, and the experts blamed LASK’s poor performance in part on the lack of fan support.
“As soon as they went down 2-0, their heads fell down,” said Paul Ince. “There was no 12th man to help them forward. Fans are extremely important, we’ve seen that we need them in these games.
UEFA is expected to address the coronavirus situation with regard to future European competitions on Tuesday.
