Kate criticized over silence on Meghan

Kate Middleton has been criticized by Meghan Markle’s fans after she did not publicly comment on Meghan’s claims about mental health in the royal family.

On Friday, Kate was revealed as the royal patron of the Maternal Mental Health Alliance. The Duchess said: “It is therefore crucial that all those who may fight get the right support at the right time.”

But some loyal fans criticized the Duchess of Cambridge for not publicly addressing comments from Meghan about her pregnancy experience when she told Oprah Winfrey last year that she experienced suicidal thoughts before Archie was born in 2019.

The Duchess of Sussex told Oprah: “I went to the institution and I said I was going somewhere to get help, that I have never felt like this before that I was going somewhere.

“And I was told that I could not, that it would not be good for the institution.”

In response to the Duchess of Cambridge’s Twitter message, Dr. Shola Mos-Shogbamimu: “Agree Duchess Kate, so since Meghan Markle was suicidal / in need of mental health support during her pregnancy, why did she NOT receive ANYONE from the royal family?”

Another person wrote: “Good. It’s okay unless it’s your family, in which case you need to protect the image at all costs.”

And a third responded to the message with a picture of Meghan while she was pregnant, with the comment: “Where was your support back then?”
