Kendall Jenner knows her ability to cut cucumbers is “tragic”

Kendall Jenner does not need her fans to tell her that her knife skills are not up to par.

On Thursday’s episode of Kardashianswent the model to make herself a snack while hanging out with her mother Kris Jenners new house, and grabs a cucumber out of the momager’s huge refrigerator filled with completely green products. As she began to cut the vegetables into pieces, Kris seemed to sense that there might be problems on the way, and asked if her daughter wanted her personal chef to make something to eat for her instead. But Kendall insisted, “I’m doing it myself. I’m just going to chop some cucumber. Pretty easy,” to which Kris replied, “You go, girl.” But the task turned out to be far from easy, as she gently held the vegetables at oblique angles while almost cutting her finger off, admitting “I’m a little scared.” Eventually, the whole situation prompted her mother to call in the professional chef on staff to take over the task.

But Kendall was the first to admit that she knows she’s no expert with a knife, and told the cameras, “I’m definitely not a good cutter, so do not zoom in on me. I’m not a professional at all.” So when there was a flurry of criticism on social media after the episode Vogue covergirl was the first to agree with people’s shock and confusion over her lack of basic culinary techniques. A fan tweeted: “Kendall Jenner trying to cut a fucking cucumber is the most tragic thing I’ve ever witnessed,” which Kendall retweetedand adds: “Tragic!”

The model has also never claimed to be an expert chef. In a video for his girlfriend Hailey BieberOn her YouTube channel, which was published last year, the couple made mac and cheese in a box in her bathroom. As Hailey goes to put the noodles in the boiling water, Kendall asks, “Do you go for butter first?” Makes an astonished Hailey ask, “Butter the water?” to which Kendall replies, “Yeah, is not that what you’re supposed to do? That’s how I make rice.” Hailey then turned to the camera crew and said, “You might want to remove that, guys. I never think you’re greasing water … Do not touch anything yet, because I’m afraid of what you’re going to do. ”
