Kanye West 2020 claims someone stole thousands from the campaign fund

Kanye West‘s failed presidential election has just got another hit … his campaign committee claims they fell victim to a scam in which thousands went to pay off someone else’s credit card.

Kanye 2020 told the Federal Election Commission that someone not affiliated with the campaign gained access to the committee’s bank account and slammed $ 3,999 to pay their own credit card bills.

In a letter sent Tuesday to the FEC and obtained by TMZ, Kanye 2020 says a survey has determined that someone had access to the account three times between December and February and that the campaign was unable to get the money back from First Bank of Wyoming.

The FEC has previously marked the transactions, and Kanye’s campaign took a look and now claims they were the victim here. There do not appear to have been any arrests yet, and it appears the FEC is working to gather more information.

Remember … Kanye launched his presidential campaign late in the game and managed to get on the ballot in a handful of states, but he ended up with only 66,636 votes.
