Jurgen Klopp has hit the Premier League and TV broadcasters, claiming that only clubs are interested in protecting their star players.
The Liverpool manager expressed concerns ahead of the upcoming international break, in which his players will be flying around the world before returning to a packed match schedule.
He said, ‘I don’t want to sound disrespectful as we don’t know what other countries are doing right now.

He said: ‘They don’t care if our players play in Peru on Wednesday night, they say they can play again on Saturday!
But in moments like this you want your family around you, and the soccer team is the same. I’m a bit worried. It’s hard to get in touch with all FAs around the world
‘It is quite often that you are quite alone at these moments.
“We are sending players away, the Premier League and TV channels gave us a challenge because they don’t care if our players play in Peru on Wednesday night, they say they can play again on Saturday.
‘At these times, clubs we are alone. I really think the Premier League and the broadcasters here in their own country don’t care. You have to make sure you bring players home in the fastest and safest way possible. This is the situation we are in. ‘
Striker Roberto Firmino has been called up for selection by Brazil, with the Selecao facing a double header from World Cup qualifiers against Bolivia and Peru.
Their clash with Peru will take place on Wednesday, October 10 at 1am BST – Tuesday night in South America – with Liverpool facing Everton in the Merseyside derby that weekend. It’s currently in preparation for a 3pm kickoff, but that will likely change for TV broadcasts.

Klopp was more positive about captain Jordan Henderson’s call-up to England, calling it a ‘win-win’ situation.
The midfielder has not played with a knee injury since the break of the victory at Chelsea on September 20, but has been called up for games against Wales, Belgium and Denmark.
He returned to individual practice this week and will rejoin the squad for parts of the sessions on Friday and Saturday and while that may not be enough to qualify for Aston Villa on Sunday, the international break will give him time to get fit.

“He will be part of training events today,” said Klopp.
‘He has absolutely no muscle problems, he is no longer injured. Now we have to make sure he can take the next step. I don’t know what that means for the weekend.
“I was in close contact with Gareth Southgate and it is clear he will use the time with the national team to get match fit.”
