It’s rare for people in athletics to agree, so congratulations to the misguided souls of the Stockholm Diamond League rally who came up with an innovation so bad that even the only one who benefited from it hated it had.
Their long jump event parted with the norm to reward the best jump over six rounds, and instead determined the winner by best jump in the sixth. Ruswahl Samaai won with the third best jump of the day and thought it was nonsense.
