Hawkeye Idea Artwork Reveals Yelena Taking On The Black Widow Mantle
A bit of Hawkeye idea artwork reveals Yelena Belova’s (Florence Pugh) scrapped look as the brand new Black Widow. Debuting in Cate Shortland’s 2021 Black Widow movie, Yelena was revealed to be Natasha Romanoff’s (Scarlett Johansson) secret sister from her time residing with a foster household in Ohio. After Nat’s dying in Avengers: EndgameYelena is predicted to take over her superhero mantle as she did within the comics, however followers might have to attend a short time longer for that to truly occur.
Marvel Studios is at the moment within the technique of transferring on from the Infinity Saga. That features steadily introducing replacements to the unique Avengers crew. Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) has already handed the mantle of Captain America to Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie), whereas Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) has been grooming Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) to be the subsequent Hawkeye. In the meantime, since Nat is useless, Yelena will seemingly need to finally assume the function of Black Widow. It looks as if that was the plan in Hawkeyenevertheless it didn’t actually come to fruition.

Taking a look at this interpretation of the character, it’s paying homage to Nat’s look in Avengers: Infinity Battle. In reality, the unique Black Widow was sporting her sister’s inexperienced vest through the Avengers’ first bout in opposition to Thanos (Josh Brolin). It’s curious the place the piece of clothes is now, however it could be nice to see Yelena reclaim it when she virtually inevitably assumes the title of Black Widow. Greater than the character’s look, nevertheless, the revelation that Marvel Studios was seemingly planning on formally debuting Yelena as the subsequent Black Widow in Hawkeye is an fascinating one. Sadly, Nizzi didn’t share why the unique narrative modified. Given the secrecy surrounding these initiatives, it’s fully potential he won’t even know that it was modified till the present got here out.
It’s curious why this specific plotline was modified. Contemplating how Hawkeye resolved Yelena’s misguided grudge in opposition to Clint, Marvel Studios may’ve nonetheless pushed ahead with the thought, maybe by way of a post-credit scene. She may’ve even joined him and Kate for Christmas simply to finish the present on a very feel-good observe. However that additionally meant that they must lower Yelena’s ties with Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfuss) because the superhero identification can’t actually be related to what seems to be both the Thunderbolts or a variation of the Darkish Avengers.
