Haitian nationals intercepted en path to Turks and Caicos Islands
A complete of 156 Haitian nationals have been held at a detention middle after their vessel was intercepted on Friday night.
The vessel was heading for the Turks and Caicos Islands
Experiences are that round 9:30 p.m., an unlawful vessel carrying the group was detected by the USA Border and Customs plane.
Swift intervention close to West Caicos
Based on studies, the Marine Department officers took motion, stopping the vessel eight miles southwest of West Caicos.
The boat, stuffed with 139 males and 17 females, was then towed to South Dock Port.
Upon arrival, the group was handed over to the Immigration Division for the mandatory processing.
