Grenada indicators Samoa settlement in historic partnership 

Raphael Joseph, the Resident Ambassador representing the State of Grenada, on Wednesday signed the historic Samoa Settlement within the Kingdom of Belgium. 

This settlement marks a major milestone within the diplomatic relations between the European Union (EU) member states and the 79 nations comprising the Group of African Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS).

A Multinational endeavor

Head of Mission representatives from 4 different OACPS Member States: Burundi, Central African Republic, Niger, and St Kitts and Nevis additionally signed the settlement. 

The signing ceremony befell on the headquarters of the OACPS, symbolizing the unity and cooperation amongst these various nations.

A complete partnership

The Samoa Settlement encompasses a two-decade dedication geared toward advancing the socio-economic and cultural growth of the ACP States.

Its overarching goal is to play a pivotal function in fostering peace, safety, and the institution of steady, democratic political environments inside these nations.

Billions in funding allotted

To assist the formidable initiatives outlined within the settlement, the EU has dedicated to offering substantial monetary backing. 

The funding, amounting to billions of euros, will probably be allotted to numerous applications and tasks designed to strengthen the bonds between the EU and OACPS nations.
