FX is reportedly developing a TV series based on the Searchlights 2010 feature “Never Let Me Go” and the original 2005 Kazuo Ishiguro novel of the same name.

Carey Mulligan, Keira Knightley and Andrew Garfield starred in the film as childhood friends at an English boarding school, learning that they are clones created to serve as organ donors in a ‘breakthrough’ medical plan to help extend human life.

Together, the three navigate in love, friendships and art as they prepare for their inevitable death. Mark Romanek directed, and Alex Garland wrote the script for that feature.

Andrew Macdonald and Allon Reich, who produced the film, are to produce the series, while Melissa Iqbal is set as writer and executive producer. DNA Films & TV, FX productions and Searchlight Television will all produce.
