Emirates News Agency – Abu Dhabi police participate in Arab Traffic Week 2022 under the slogan “Safe and developed traffic”

ABU DHABI, 4 May / WAM / Abu Dhabi Police participated in the Arab traffic authorities in the celebration of Arab Traffic Week 2022, which started today and until 10 May this year under the slogan “Safe and Advanced Traffic”.

Brigadier General Mohammed Dhahi Al Himiri, Director of the Central Operations Department of Transport and Patrol, confirmed that the participation comes within the framework of Abu Dhabi’s police zeal to increase traffic awareness for drivers and efforts to strengthen compliance with traffic laws and rules, and reduce the causes leading to the occurrence of road accidents and their consequences of death and serious injury.

He pointed out the continuing interest of Abu Dhabi Police in instilling the value of respecting traffic rules and driving ethics and avoiding misconduct while driving, and urged drivers to be vigilant while driving and to cooperate in the implementation of traffic laws and regulations in order to reduce the incidence of road accidents and their effects, underlining the interest of Abu Dhabi Police in taking the necessary measures to increase road safety.

Abu Dhabi Police continues its traffic awareness efforts through its social media and media platforms, which focus on implementing media awareness campaigns through the “Safety Path” initiative, as well as field awareness and publishing videos through the “You Comment” initiative, which revolves around the most important traffic behaviors that distract motorists from the road and causing traffic accidents.
