CNN cancels “Dependable Sources,” Stelter to depart – bestinau

CNN is canceling its Sunday media affairs present “Dependable Sources,” and host Brian Stelter is departing the community, stories NPR’s David Folkenflik.

Folkenflik writes, “In a press release to NPR, Stelter says he’s grateful for the present and his group’s examination of ‘the media, reality and the tales that form our world.’

“‘It was a uncommon privilege to steer a weekly present targeted on the press at a time when it has by no means been extra consequential,’ Stelter mentioned, promising to say extra on Sunday’s present — its ultimate episode.

“Stelter received his begin running a blog about cable information as a pupil and went on to turn out to be a media reporter for The New York Instances. Dependable Sources is the longest-running present on CNN; Stelter has hosted it for the previous 9 years and celebrated the present’s thirtieth anniversary in March.

“CNN chief Chris Licht knowledgeable Stelter of the choice yesterday. Licht has been making cuts all through the community since taking the helm as a part of Warner Bros. Discovery’s takeover of the previous Time Warner firm.”
