“Classic Lorenzo”: Toronto FC marvels at Lorenzo Insigne’s game-winning golazo

Toronto still has a big task ahead as the Reds remain in 13th place in the Eastern Conference standings with 26 points (7W-12L-5D record). But in a tight spot in the East, that still puts them just four points shy of the postseason cutoff line with 10 games remaining.

Going forward, Osorio said the hope is that Saturday’s win can serve as a springboard for a stretch run that gets his team back in the mix.

“We understand the situation we’re in, on the table and everything,” Osorio said. “Every game now is a final from here on out. It’s huge, the fact that it’s also an away win, I think it gives the group a lot of confidence and three big points. A few things to clear up, we It’s certainly clear, but we’re going to clean them up and I think that’s huge going forward and we’re going to use this game to build on.”
