Ajman Municipality will complete 70 km of new roads within a year

The statistical report issued by Ajman Municipality recently revealed that 70 kilometers of new roads were completed in the emirate over the past year, bringing the length of the roads in the emirate at the end of last year to 1879.8 kilometers, which points out that 87 kilometers were implemented in the previous year and 39 kilometers in 2019.

According to the report, of which “Emirates Today” received a copy, 968 corrective maintenance operations were carried out for the road system last year, and 16 preventive maintenance operations were carried out, while the number of main entrances to the emirates reached 12.

The report indicated that the number of pedestrian lanes in the emirate was increased to 148, an increase of four lanes, while two new bridges were added to cars, while the number of pedestrian bridges reached 15, while the number of developed intersections reached 28.

The report pointed out that the length of asphalt roads in the emirate increased to 999 km, an increase of 71 km compared to 2020, indicating that the number of taxable parking spaces increased to 17,267, an increase of 2,937 parking spaces compared to the previous year. ..

He added that the rainwater drainage network amounted to 148,168 km, an increase of 6 km compared to 2020, while the number of rainwater pumping stations reached 28 and the number of groundwater drainage permits increased to 276.
