2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs Match 7: Rangers hosts Penguins and Flames take on Stars on Sunday

After three games 7 on Saturday, the exciting Stanley Cup playoffs in 2022 continue on Sunday with a few more win-or-go-home matches. The last two matches end the second round, making them a must-see TV for hockey fans.

The Pittsburgh Penguins and New York Rangers open Sunday’s action at. 7pm in Madison Square Garden and on TBS. Pittsburgh had New York on the field early, winning three out of four games and scoring seven goals in each of the last two competitions. Penguins star Sidney Crosby suffered a concussion in Game 5, and after missing Game 6, he is back on the ice for Game 7 along with goalkeeper Tristian Jarry, who had missed the last month with an injury. A win would be massive for both teams, as Pittsburgh has lost in the first round or qualifying round in each of the last three postseasons, while New York has not won a playoff series since 2017.

To close the first round, the Dallas Stars and Calgary Flames will fight at the Scotiabank Saddledome at 6 p.m. 9.30pm on ESPN2 and on fuboTV (try for free). The series has so far been a showcase for goalkeepers, as Dallas’ Jake Oettinger is No. 2 in save percentage in those playoffs, while Calgary’s Jacob Markstrom is number two in goals against the average. A Stars victory would send them to the second round for the first time since their Stanley Cup final in 2020, and Calgary is seeking its first playoff series victory since 2015.
