Why Rebecca Romijn Says John Stamo’s Divorce Was “Heartbreaking”

Rebecca Romijn and her husband Jerry O’Connell became quite honest about her feelings for ex-husband John Stamos.

While performing together in the episode on May 5 of The talkJerry and Rebecca reflected on when they first started dating, noting that Rebecca was not yet legally separated from John at the time, according to a clip obtained by Entertainment tonight.

Jerry remembered that he met Rebecca while she was “going through” her divorce, adding that she was “bumped over it.”

“Going through a divorce is awful, it’s awful,” Rebecca said then. “I was with him for 10 years. Divorce feels like a failure and there were a lot of things I had to let go of that were very sad.”

Jerry noted that Rebecca still speaks lovingly about her relationship with Full house star who legally ended in 2005.

“When I’m in person with you and I hear you talk about your ex-husband, it sounds like it was fun,” Jerry explained. “You always have really funny memories.”
