“The Sound of Magic” has unveiled beautiful character posters featuring the three protagonists!
The new Netflix series is described as a fantasy music drama about the story that unfolds when the mysterious magician Rieul (Ji Chang Wook) suddenly appears in front of a girl named Yoon Ah Yi (Choi Sung Eun), who has lost her dreams, and her classmate named Na Il Deung (Hwang In Yeop), who is forced to dream. The drama is based on the web movie “Annarasumanara” by author Ha Il Kwon, which was aired on Naver Webtoon in 2010 and adapted into a play.
The recently released posters show Rieul, Yoon Ah Yi and Na Il Deung in a dreamy atmosphere with phrases that make viewers curious about their background stories. Rieul looks at a person with fascinating eyes, while a blue butterfly adds a magical touch to his poster. The caption describes him as “a magician who wants to remain a child forever.” Director Kim Sung Yoon commented: “Thanks to his playfulness and boyishness, he made Rieul’s innocence stand out, and he also expressed the double sides of his character well.”
Choi Sung Eun faithfully portrayed his character Yoon Ah Yi with meaningful eyes that hold both sorrow and excitement. The text on the poster describes her as “a child who is desperate to grow up.” As for Choi Sung Eun, author Kim Min Jung remarked, “She’s a really good actress who fills the screen even without lines.”
In the third poster, Na Il Deung represents the conflict-filled youth with his complex expression. The quote reads, “The dreams you’re talking about. Do I really need one?” Ji Chang Wook praised Hwang In Yeop, saying: “The charm of actor Hwang In Yeop and the character Na Il Deung united and showed great synergy.”
“The Sound of Magic” premieres on May 6. In the meantime, you can watch a teaser for the drama here!
