Harry Winks has revealed that Tottenham players have been given an individual fitness schedule to stay in shape while staying at home during the coronavirus pandemic.
With English professional football postponed to at least April 30, a number of players have had to maintain their fitness levels at home.
Winks, in addition to all Spurs players, got his own individual program while following the government to stay at home, but says they can be flexible in following it.
Harry Winks has revealed that Tottenham players have been given individual fitness plans
“It’s a bit strange for all of us, but I’ve got my head around it,” the 24-year-old told the club website.
‘I am in good shape, I mainly use the gym at my home. I have fitness equipment here, a bicycle, a treadmill. The club also gave me a squat machine to stay strong.
“We’ve all been given a schedule, but it’s flexible, we can do it on our own time. So I might have a day of rest, but then I’ll work later. The important thing is to get it done. ‘
Spurs have given players all the equipment they need to complete their own exercise programs, including weights, rollers, and exercise bikes.
Jose Mourinho is ready to monitor live video training starting Monday
Manager Jose Mourinho also contacted members of the squad, and each player was assigned a coach to oversee their individual programs, with live video training scheduled to begin Monday.
Winks: ‘The coaching and fitness employees send us messages and keep in touch if I have questions.
“We also have instructions from the nutrition team about our food and a program about it.
“We just have to watch what we eat. I also cook – soups, a lot of salad, eggs and a little pasta.

“We’ve all been told (by the government) that we can exercise one day a day, so I’ve walked around where I live and go beyond home, stay relaxed and fit.
“I have a ball here too, so I’m kicking in the yard.”
When asked about missing football, Winks said, ‘Yes, I already miss being on the field and playing for the fans, but that’s the way it is.
“We have to keep going and frankly, we all have bigger concerns right now.
“It’s a little boring not being able to go into training and meet the boys, but like I said, bigger things are at stake here. Everyone should stay at home and stay safe. ‘
