Evaluations:
… A enjoyable genre-mash-up: a tough western with an anti-hero as the principle character and a kung-fu thriller with a lot of fights […] the true enjoyable begins when Dakota and Ho Chiang merge, resulting in an thrilling grand finale that can certainly fulfill followers of each genres. “2,500 movie problem
… The movie is extra of a spaghetti western versus a kung fu film. Even with the mish-mash of those two genres he [Antonio Margheriti] remains to be in a position to splendidly make humorous sequences that actually made me chuckle out loud […] I’m not a giant fan of spaghetti western comedies, however the comedian particulars he provides right here work nicely. ” Blood brothers
Lieh mixes spectacular martial arts abilities with childlike sweetness, whereas Van Cleef skillfully personifies a raven whose boasting usually exceeds his skills. Though it isn’t essentially a standout among the many small subgenre of martial arts westerns […] The Stranger and the Gunfighter provides a cushty sampler dish of sensations from two well-liked genres. “Each 70s film
“The story is embarrassing and absurd, however has its nice moments right here and there. The violence is just not gross, however mild and dominates the comedy. Lee Van Cleef could be very previous and with a wig, his interpretation is wood and ruthless …” Ma Cortes
“The movie’s motion choices are fairly slim, restricted to a couple fast fights and a few weapon play. The martial arts choreography is admittedly weak, so even when Lo Lieh will get thrown just a few kicks, it’s removed from one thing you’re concerned with seeing. Much less essential followers will in all probability get pleasure from it anyway. ” Silver Emulsion Movie Evaluations
