Critiques:
“The story is messy and incoherent, whereas the protagonists’ performs are sometimes so swampy that Pinocchio would even be jealous. Though the official synopsis guarantees the viewer a cinematic nightmare, the horror scenes are so sparse and poorly developed that ‘The Coven’ by no means actually will get creepy anyplace. “Cinema Journal
“The plot is kind of concerned, however lots of the key factors are seen fleetingly. Consequently, it’s potential that the viewer involves the top of the movie with out understanding who the motorcyclist is or why the seven college students are killed. This doesn’t detract from the movie, as subsequent views reveal the main points. ” Cochrane Devoted
“The very first thing you discover is that there are solely 4 teenage women on the film poster and the DVD cowl. It’s particular, why? No thought. Additionally, this film poster seems to be suspicious The craft, one other film about teenage women and witches. However that is the place the comparability ends. Then the story is weak, there is no such thing as a scare in it, and there’s not even something merciless. ” 1 out of 5, Evening Butterflies [translated from Dutch]
“Aside from the plain shortcomings within the script, instruction (examine the step ladder within the background whereas the youngsters ‘bounce’ over a railing), and simply genre-specific traits of suspense and ambiance, the core drawback with the casting lies. I believe it should be unimaginable to “Solid a extra indistinguishably bland group of teenage women. Mumble! What’s with that?” Schlock mines
