Rovman Powell has been traded to the Barbados Royals forward of the 2023 Republic Financial institution Caribbean Premier League (CPL) in a transfer that sees Hayden Walsh transferring the opposite option to be a part of the Jamaica Tallawahs.
Rovman Powell, the West Indies T20 captain, led the Tallawahs to their third CPL title in 2023 and has scored 1337 runs for the franchise since first becoming a member of them in 2016.
Walsh leaves the Royals having performed for the franchise since 2019, claiming the Participant of the Match title in his first 12 months with the Barbados group. As an skilled leg spin bowler with worldwide pedigree, he will likely be a beneficial addition to the Tallawahs squad.
The Republic Financial institution CPL draft present will likely be broadcast in late June 2023 with the event set to get underway on 16 August 2023.
