Under the latest section of “Red Table Talk, ”Jada Pinket-Smith, Adrienne Banfield-Norris and Willow Smith discuss the dangers of fentanyl. The guests joining them in this week’s show are family and friends of people who have sadly passed away because of the drug. One person to talk to the ladies was Dominic Dupont, who is the nephew of the deceased actor Michael K.Williams. Dominic is also the person who found Michael’s body on the day of his death.
Dominic opened up to find Michael’s body in September last year in his apartment. He said,
“Mike had some work to do the next day and I had taken my hand to him the night before and I was worried I had not heard from him. We made the decision to go to his house. “
He went on to explain that when he walked into Michael’s home, it had been quiet when he shouted for him.
“I saw him dead,” Dominic said. “Immediately I called 911, they said ‘listen, do you want to start some compressions?’ I said I’m telling you he’s dead, he’s gone, he’s cold. “
Michael had been open about his previous fight with drugs, so when Dominic asked if Michael showed signs of relapse, he said Michael was fine, adding: “It did not appear that Mike was slipping back into Dominic had been home for 4 1/2 years after serving his sentence in prison and said Michael did not appear to be dealing with any issues that seemed major.
“Michael also worked really hard not to make the things he went through weigh on other people. He was an actor, right? You can fool people, you can convince people that you are okay, ”he said. “I’m sure he would not have deliberately taken fentanyl.”
As earlier reported, back in February, four men were charged in connection with the death of Michael K. Williams. He overdosed on fentanyl-laced heroin and was found dead in his Brooklyn apartment at the age of 54.
