Women’s safety has always remained a priority for META and this time once again the company has launched two initiatives that are based on womens’ safety Online. These two initiatives include Online Safety Guide and Stop NCII (Non-consensual intimate images) to help users save themselves in this cyberspace. Online safety of women in Pakistan has always remained important for the social media giant.
Since the initiative is launched for Pakistan, the safety advisory is available in English and Urdu and the basic goal behind it is to boost digital literacy and share the responsible online behavior among users. In this way, the platform is looking to create safer online spaces for women to connect and express themselves without restraints. This initiative is designed via funding in collaboration with a global NGO partner —the UK Revenge Porn Helpline — to stop the sharing of non-consensual intimate images (NCII), often referred to as Revenge Porn.
