Evaluations:
“Ouelhaj makes use of Martha’s world as a provocative means to criticize the patriarchy and frames a fictional story round a real unsolved crime as a deliberate violation. It retains its viewers at a distance maybe an excessive amount of, and it’s slightly too shut in its introspections, nevertheless it makes for an intense, unsettling journey for these prepared to wade into the murky depths of taste.” 3.5 out of 5 , Bloody Disgusting
” …Karim Ouelhaj has created 100 minutes of intense and brutal movie manufacturing. Very visible and very highly effective in its storytelling. I wasn’t positive what to anticipate, however this film completely surpassed something I might have imagined […] This new Belgian horror movie is each terrifying and incredible. If you happen to don’t care about sensible depictions of violence, then this isn’t for you.” 4 out of 5, Heaven of Horror
“…Megalomaniac begins chaotically, drops to a sluggish roll, and makes use of a variety of complicated, albeit nightmarish, imagery to start. Coupled with lots of the silent scenes within the movie, it’s straightforward to expertise sensory overload care of the lightning quick juxtapositions. I can’t say I used to be ever bored by the film as a result of there may be a lot to see and contemplate, however Megalomaniac additionally left me wanting extra decision from its conclusion.” Horror possessed
“Megalomaniac lets its characters breathe whereas holding the tempo up with ratcheting rigidity. I used to be on the sting of my seat because the movie approached its explosive climax, begging for an ending that might fulfill. Relentless bluntness and stunning brutality are coming! […] Half chilling horror therapy, half psychological case research, Megalomaniac presents a very twisted household portrait.” 3.5 out of 5 Josh on the Motion pictures
“A movie that accommodates no factors of sunshine, Megalomaniac is a nauseating, disturbing watch. Its ugliness is so full that you simply really feel defeated by the top, however what redemption might, would, or ought to make all this ugliness palatable? If this lesson was at all times the purpose – then bravo.” skewed perspective
