Love, Death & Robots gained a huge popularity with its first season, an excellent collection of sci-fi stories that combined ironic humor with groundbreaking animation, graphic violence, intellectual ideas and fast-paced storylines. It was a set of very entertaining stories perfectly suited to a world of diminished attention span in an age of TikTok videos and Instagram posts; it even represents its title in emojis. At its best, the series can tell the same stories as Black mirror but with a quarter of the driving time.
