A pet owner has revealed the heartwarming story behind viral photos showing her pet Labrador getting stuck in a dog flap.
Charmaine Hulley, of Queensland, uploaded photos of her pet named Drax to the Dogspotting Society’s Facebook page on Oct. 4.
The photos show a ‘chonky boy’ wandering on Mrs. Hulley’s mother’s deck with a dog flap around his back.
Drax was stuck in the doorway playing with other dogs.
As he tried to free himself, he pulled the entire door off its hinges.

Mrs. Hulley captured Drax wearing the door frame over his stomach and revealed the moving story behind his predicament.
“Thanks for all the love for Drax, our chonky boy,” reads Ms. Hulley’s message.
He’s a rescue from the street, he slept curled up in front of a supermarket, all thin and sad.
Now he is very happy and warm and loved. A little too loved. ‘
Drax was rescued by Mrs. Hulley two years ago after her sister saw him on the side of the road.

He moved in with Mrs. Hulley and her partner Taylor and has become a very spoiled dog, which has resulted in a lot of weight gain.
‘In two years I’ve heard him bark twice. He doesn’t cause any problems, everyone loves him. He’s so sweet and just spoiled rotten now, ”Mrs. Hulley said Unilad.
Ms. Hulley moved in with her mother earlier this year, leaving Taylor to care for Drax, where his diet consisted of ‘lots of human food, steak and KFC’.
After the dog door incident, Mrs. Hulley said Taylor had promised to help Drax lose weight by putting him on a diet.
“He (Taylor) says he’s cutting his food, but I really don’t know if it’s him or if he’s just saying it,” she said.
