Dutch boss Ronald Koeman has once again indicated that he wants to manage his former club Barcelona one day.
Koeman had an incredibly successful career with the club, winning four league titles and a six-season European Cup from 1989 to 1995. He was considered one of the greatest goalscorers in the history of the sport.
He has since repeated his desire to one day return to the Nou Camp in a managerial role and has a special clause in his current contract that would allow him to do so.

“Barcelona contacted me after Valverde left,” he told Marca.
“However, I said no because of my commitment to the Dutch team, but after the European Championship I have the opportunity to evaluate again.

‘In Barcelona I enjoyed my best podium as a footballer and I love the city. I hope to manage Barcelona someday. ‘
Koeman’s contract with the Netherlands will run until 2022 for the Qatar World Cup, but the special ‘Barcelona clause’ could complicate matters in the near future, or when it comes to extending his contract with the national team.
Current Barcelona boss Quique Setien is feeling the pressure of the work, but is expected to be in the hot seat in the near future.
