TWICE is making their comeback last Friday, August 26th through the release of their EP “BETWEEN 1&2”. The mini-album was made available through all digital and streaming platforms. “BETWEEN 1&2” includes 7 tracks, including the title track ‘Talk That Talk’. The album’s title is a symbol of the strong bond between TWICE and their fans (ONCE). TWICE members continue to prove their talents as artists as some of the members contributed to the production of some of the tracks on the album. ChaeYoung wrote the lyrics for the track ‘Basics’, while JiHyo, the group’s leader, composed, wrote lyrics and directed the vocals for the track ‘Trouble’. Another member, DaHyun, was also credited with writing the lyrics for the track ‘Gone’ and ‘When We Were Kids’. Other tracks on the album are ‘Queen of Hearts’ and ‘Brave’. The music video for ‘Talk That Talk’ creatively features multiple backgrounds and does a mission TWICE to hear the word “LOVE”. The music video shows the members’ journey as the pause “code” given by ONCE. The title track has a catchy melody and energetic choreography that brings fun and a high dose of energy TWICE’s way. The song has the message encouraging to openly show what is in one’s heart. The track was composed by WooMin Lee, the songwriter behind the group’s hit tracks ‘KNOCK KNOCK’ and ‘The Feels’. You can watch the MV for the album’s title track, ‘Talk That Talk’ here. “BETWEEN 1&2” is the girl group’s first release after recently renewing their contract with their home agency, JYP Entertainment. Last month, the group achieved a milestone, being nominated for their second MTV Video Music Award, for the “Best K-Pop” category, for their track ‘The Feels’. Last May, the group was also busy wrapping up the “TWICE 4th World Tour” with their back-to-back, sold-out performances at the Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles. This was another milestone for TWICE, who were the first female K-Pop group to perform at the stadium in the United States. The group also made their US debut with their appearance on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert”, where they performed their Billboard 100 hit, ‘The Feels’.
