The Belize authorities says it has established a Labor Complaints Tribunal for the primary time within the historical past of the nation.
The Ministry of Rural Transformation, Neighborhood Improvement, Labor, and Native Authorities stated the tribunal was appointed by Labor Minister, Oscar Requena, in accordance with the Labor Act.

The ministry stated the primary determination of the tribunal was handed down final week. The tribunal consists of 5 members, together with an individual nominated by the chief justice, one other nominated by the Belize Chamber of Commerce and Business, a consultant of staff nominated by the Nationwide Commerce Union Congress of Belize, and a member nominated by the minister of labor.
The Commissioner of Labor is an ex-officio member.
“The Ministry of Labor is dedicated to the right and lawful administration of the labor market by guaranteeing that the rights of staff and employers are absolutely protected underneath regulation.
