Arsenal FC: New Boss, Same old Problems.

Interim manager Freddie Ljungberg had limited time to work with his players, having only got the job on Friday morning, so we cannot expect too much, too soon. But I couldn’t say this performance was any better than what we would have seen under Unai Emery.

David Luiz was kept in the team by Ljungberg and he didn’t defend any differently. Shkodran Mustafi was brought in alongside him and he can be a bit of a car crash at times. Calum Chambers does his best at right back but can look like a fish out of water. Sead Kolasinac should not be starting over Kieran Tierney at left back.

Mesut Ozil started — I like the German playmaker — but he struggled to influence the game.

It was left to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to bail Arsenal out with two goals up front while Leno saved their skin at the back. If I was an Arsenal fan, I would have liked to see a better reaction from the team after the sacking of my manager.

Norwich haven’t been in the best form, so they should have represented ideal opponents. The visit of Brighton to the Emirates Stadium on Thursday evening is now a big match. Those supporters will want to see a reaction — and a result.
