A VERY windy Duchess of Cornwall visits The National Arboretum

A hair-raising journey! A VERY windy Duchess of Cornwall braves the stormy weather as she visits the National Arboretum in Gloucestershire

  • Camilla looked windy when she arrived at Westonbirt, The National Arboretum
  • Royal first appeared in the woody location with her hair cut to perfection
  • However, the 73-year-old Duchess of Cornwall quickly fell victim to a massive gust of wind

The Duchess of Cornwall is known for her polished looks, but today she proved that even she can’t brave the elements.

Camilla, 73, was looking quite windy when she arrived at Westonbirt, The National Arboretum, in Gloucestershire, to meet the staff of a community shelter.

The royals had clearly made their usual effort with her look, when she arrived at the woodland location with her perfectly coiffed hair, sporting matching brown boots and a green coat.

However, she quickly fell victim to a tremendous gust of wind and her pristine locks looked a little wavy.

Camilla seemed like the epitome of fall in brown striped boots, green trousers and a matching jacket, while holding on to a cream scarf.

Safety first, the Duchess put together her outdoor ensemble with a bright lime-colored face covering.

This isn’t the first time Camilla has visited the arboretum, with the royal tour of the wooded site, managed by the Forestry Commission, in June 2014.

It had opened a new visitor center to help it cope with the increasing numbers of people attending the Forest Live concerts, with 90s rockers Suede, Little Mix and veterans Boyzone appearing on stage before.

The arboretum has 2,500 tree species from around the world and, according to the website, plays a “ vital role in research and conservation. ”

Last week, Camilla wore a statement leopard print face mask paired with a smart monochrome outfit while delivering brownies baked in Clarence House to a West London charity.

She talked to volunteers from the Pepper Pot center in Ladbroke Grove, and delivered the sweet treats for food parcels to be given to the members of the center.

The charity was set up to support African and Caribbean elderly people in West London, and Camilla heard about the support offered to them during the coronavirus pandemic.

Camilla visited the charity playroom where she met and chatted with staff, and later made a Zoom call with members of the Pepper Pot Center.

She wore a stylish white blouse with peplum sleeves under a chic black sleeveless blazer paired with a diamond-encrusted horseshoe shoe brooch.
