A $ AP Rocky shows his eternal love for Rihanna in the video for his new song “DMB”
The couple expecting their first child together show off their romance in the video that ends with a wedding. The song, an acronym for “dat’s my b ****”, also features Rocky, who apparently overshadows Rihanna’s ex Chris Brown for famously abusing her in 2009.
“Proud 2 announces my directorial debut DMB video out now,” Rocky (real name: Rakim Mayers) wrote on social media along with photos of the couple shown in the video. “Video out now !!! Thanks $ 2 to everyone involved who helped and $ special thanks $ 2 my lady for the motivation and the role.”
In “ghetto love talk” that takes place in Harlem, he raps: “Got a penthouse, see the Bronx Zoo / Got a townhouse overlooking the city / Got surround sound with the top down / Drive through Allerton up to Soundview / I was lost so , but I found you. “
Unfortunately for Rihanna fans waiting for new songs, she does not sing, but she nevertheless has a large presence. The love match is seen having wine on the fire escape with a block party below, from footage taken last summer before she was pregnant. And it’s all high fashion, just like their style. Rocky sings all the way through his beloved praise for, among other things, rolling his bits, keeping an eye on his gun and ammunition and having “bank accounts … with large sums, s *** you could not count.”
He also appears to be shadowing his ex-girlfriend Brown, who was convicted of assault after assaulting her when they were boyfriends when he sings: “I do not beat my b ****, I need my b * *** / She cleans my crib, she feeds my friends / She keeps my secret, she keeps my fridge packed, my freezer on. “
Other scenes show Rocky being sent to jail several times – and loyal Ri waiting for him every time he is released. In real life, Rocky was recently arrested in Los Angeles on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. It is alleged that the rapper shot at another man in November, grazing the victim’s hand.
Another highlight is Rocky and Rihanna, who are apparently getting married. They’re all dressed up – she’s in a red dress with a veil and he’s in a suit. He smiles and his grill says, “Marry me?”
She responds with her own smile and says, “I do.” They end up going down the hall and being showered with rose petals, and the couple share a kiss, apparently as newlyweds.
The release of the song is at a significant time for the couple as they are expecting their first child. However, there have been rumors about their relationship status, with designer Amina Muaddi shutting down the “disgusting” rumor of a Rocky affair. Things seemed to get on track again when the couple flew by her to her home country of Barbados for a visit before the baby, but then he was arrested when they landed again, via private jet, in LA
Rocky and Rihanna go back a long way, but started dating just before the end of the pandemic. They have said that time together tied them together – and they took a cross-country trip together.
Since he was arrested, she has supported him at his latest show and seen the show from the side of the stage. They also had a baby shower, supposedly with a rave theme.
