Soldier dies after being shot by colleague in Guyana

Police are investigating the demise of a member of the Guyana Defence Power (GDF) who was shot on Monday by a colleague throughout an argument.

Media experiences have recognized the useless soldier as Tevon Daymon and stated that the incident occurred on the GDF Camp Stephenson at Timehri, positioned 41 kilometres to the south of the capital.

Senior army officers say preliminary experiences point out that there was a disagreement between the 2 troopers that led to a confrontation and a combat early Monday.

The media experiences stated that as Daymon ran from the world, the opposite officer armed himself with a high-powered weapon and opened fireplace, hitting Daymon a number of instances.

He was later pronounced useless at hospital and the opposite soldier has since been arrested.
