Tommy Pham suspended for beating Joc Pedersen over alleged Fantasy FB Beef
Cincinnati Reds Outfielder Tommy Pham has been suspended 3 games for SLAPPING San Francisco Giants slugger Pedersen games over an alleged fantasy football beef.
Pham, who admitted to reporters in an interview on Saturday that he deliberately went after Pederson, received a three-game quarantine for “inappropriate behavior” and was hit with an unpublished fine.
The incident fell on Friday as the Reds and Giants were preparing to start their series – Pham approached and beat Pederson over a dispute stemming from a fantasy football league.
In the video of the alleged incident circulating on social media, it appears that Pham walks up to Joc and punches him in the face.
The Giants outfielder spoke candidly about meeting Pham after the Reds’ 5-1 win over his club … and said it all came from Pham, who accused him of cheating in the fantasy league they are in together ( you can not make it this up).
Pederson said the dustup was the first time Pham ran into him … claiming there was no altercation between the two before the slap occurred.
Giant skipper Gabe Kapler who announced his decision on Friday to skip the national anthem going forward because of the country’s current state – refused to comment on the situation between Pham and Pederson.
Pham’s suspension has retroactive effect … which means that since he already missed Friday night’s game after being scraped from the lineup, he will only miss the next two games against the Giants.
