PS5 supports most of the best streaming apps except one

Sony has lifted the lid on entertainment apps coming to the PS5 and, perhaps unsurprisingly, it’s actually all of them.
All the usual streaming giants are supported on PS5, including Netflix, Twitch, Spotify, YouTube and Disney Plus. You can find them in the dedicated ‘Media’ area on the PS5 home screen.
A surprising addition, however, is that Apple TV made it. The service is also coming to PS4 and will let PlayStation owners enjoy Apple TV Plus, Apple TV channels and new and popular movies.
More apps are also on the way, with Amazon Prime Video, MyCanal, Hulu, and Peacock hitting the system in the near future.
Available alongside the PS5 at launch, users can purchase the new Media Remote, which provides easy access to all of your entertainment on PS5.
You can adjust the volume and power settings on compatible TVs, and it also comes with dedicated home buttons for Disney Plus, Netflix, Spotify and YouTube. It costs $ 29.99 / £ 24.99 and can be pre-ordered now.
Just like on PS4, you can play your favorite songs from Spotify as background music while gaming, a feature that took a while to get to PS4, and Twitch lets you re-live stream your gameplay directly from the console.
Sony notes that a PlayStation Network is required to use these services and some streaming apps require paid subscriptions or are region-specific, as you might expect.
